Bark River

Bark River is a small town east of Escanaba about 10 miles. There is a fever that happens around this time of year as Sir Knights and Ladies trek above the Mackinac Bridge to Support Templary in our fair peninsula. It is known as the Bark river tour, and the culmination is the Bark River 1313 gathering on Saturday evening.  We love our Sir Knights from around the state and enjoy their company as we rebuild Templary with new living stones for the future.  Today Lake Superior Commandery saw 3 new Sir Knights vow to uphold the care of Widows an Orphans and the Christian Religion. In short, to recommit to their savior Jesus Christ. Also in the Asylum were tender hearts as news of dear ones who are struggling with health and preparing to return to our spiritual home came in. My mind drifted to the many babies that we welcome into this harsh world, coming from the Presence of a Loving Heavenly Father. If only we could have those same feelings about the return trip. It's love. We love them so much, we don't want to be without them. It is up to us to comfort and support each other when we are left here to struggle through those empty feelings. We look to God for comfort and peace.

"Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass; Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish his day.
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease."
